I recall one stretch of time again in 2002 leading as much as the Iraq invasion, the place I worked eighty five days straight to meet a deadline. Was I accountable for one thing essential? You guess. I first discovered of a mastermind group when reading Napoleon Hillâs e-book Think And Grow Rich. He wrote concerning the Mastermind precept as: âThe coordination of information and energy of two or more folks, who work toward a particular function, in the spirit of harmony.â He continuesâ¦âNo two minds ever come collectively with out thereby creating a 3rd, invisible intangible pressure, which can be likened to a 3rd thoughts.â In a mastermind group, the agenda belongs to the group, and each particular personâs participation is key. Your peers provide you with feedback, help you brainstorm new potentialities, and arrange accountability constructions that keep you centered and on track. You will create a group of supportive colleagues who will brainstorm collectively to move the group to new heights. This is one thing that Anthony and I are planning on doing, and are really thinking about implementing it inside the Institute for Engineering Career Development. Weâve each run mini-mastermind teams with members up to now to nice effect and weâre embarking on a mastermind group ourselves this month. Even when you have self-discipline, focus, drive and motivation, being accountable to someone is a positive-hearth method to exceed even your individual expectations. Diving into Job Applications - Workology
Diving into Job Applications - Workology Diving into Job Applications Job applications are arguably the most challenging and frustrating thing that many of us have to deal with in our professional careers. Without the right formula we may send out hundreds of applications without more than a couple responses. As the number of applications sent out pile up, our efforts can feel increasingly arbitrary. Diving into Job Applications Perfecting job applications starts with a few main points including refining your resume, doing your research on jobs you really care about, and presenting yourself in a professional manner. Refining Your Resume Building your resume for the first time, or even updating if it has been a while, is a whirlwind. Not only do we have to remember all of the things weâve accomplished that are resume-worthy, but we also have to adjust formatting to keep everything professional. Luckily, there are some sites that provide Free Resume Templates resource by Jobnexus. Beginning with a template can take half the work out of making your resume look like you put significant effort into planning it. Small things like this can go a long way towards impressing a potential employer. In fact, the vast majority of applicants are disregarded because their resumes are not up to par. Strong resumes are key to landing an interview! Research the Job A huge number of job applicants make the mistake of failing to customize their cover letter, resume, and other application materials. Remember, it is far better to spend a lot of time making one application perfect that it is to send out over 50 bland applications. There are many reasons customizing your application improves your chances including because it shows you are genuinely interested in the position. In certain situations, customization can play a pivotal role in helping clarify how qualified for a job you are, for example if you are listing self-employment on a resume. Most hiring managers have no idea how to quantify the work accomplished by self-employed individuals so it will be important to detail skills you have acquired, concrete examples of your work, and explicit explanation of how it relates to the job youâre applying to. Present Yourself as a Professional Finally, within every document you submit for a job application, be certain you are coming across in a professional manner. It is critical to portray yourself as a person who will take the work at hand seriously, meet deadlines on time, and communicate with clients and fellow employees in an accessible way. Employers want to know they are hiring someone they can count on, not the next lovable office-mate that actually never accomplishes any work. Professionalism is especially important if you are like a growing number of Americans who are applying for work as independent contractors. Many businesses are quickly adapting to using freelance workers and other independent contractors to complete a number of shorter term special projects. Independent contractors are generally hired based upon their reputation and the quality of work they can produce, which means if they are not professional they are out of a job. *** As you dive into applications for your career, it is important to get the key elements right. Be sure to submit a professional resume; if youâre not sure how to start consider using Free Resume Templates resource by Novoresume and download a template. Make certain you take the time to communicate to potential employers that you are the right person to hire by doing your research. And always, always act as professionally as possible. Good luck!

This is why I dont regret spending money on fixing up my house
This is the reason I don't lament burning through cash on repairing my home This is the reason I don't lament burning through cash on repairing my home Last September, my life partner, Dan, and I shut on a house close Hyattsville, MD. It's privilege close to another Whole Foods, a Gold's Gym, and a few other fun, new spots. It additionally cost about $100,000 not exactly a great deal of different houses in the zone, since it required a considerable amount of work. I thought it was an extraordinary speculation to purchase a bearable fixer-upper in a decent area, since we'd spend less on setting it up than we would in the event that we purchased a house that had just been flipped. Furthermore, it had all that I was searching for in a home: a major entryway patio, an ace suite on its own floor, a completed storm cellar with its own different passage, a space for my home office, and quite enormous terrace. It's additionally about a mile from the metro, so I can stroll there or take the transport easily. We chose to put 10% down for the downpayment with the goal that we'd have cash extra for remodels. That left us with about $30,000 for r edesigns in advance. (In the event that you need more information on how we had this money available, look at my post from a week ago!) Most of the cash we spent immediately was a wise venture, despite the fact that it was agonizing to compose those checks. So this is what I like contributing in:Redoing the floorsWhen we initially purchased our home, the lounge floor was all parquet. At the point when you strolled through the front room and into the kitchen, it transformed into huge, tan tiles with dark grout. That tile proceeded into the lounge area. I abhorred everything about those floors. I was unable to envision living in a house that was for the most part parquet and tile. I felt that having the floors revamped would right away cause the house to feel increasingly like our own. So we recruited Empire Today and they destroyed the parquet and tile and introduced drifting hardwood floors. They are a delightful dim earthy colored I despite everything love them.Plus, we realized we needed to lease our cellar on Airbnb. The floors in the storm cellar were suggestive of grade school floors, harking back to the 80s and 90s. They were terrible and messy. Furthermore, things being what they are, the sort of tile utilized likely had asbestos in it. So we needed to make a point to refresh the floors. It's unbelievably costly to moderate asbestos, however the floors are protected as long as you don't bore or nail into them. So we had extravagance vinyl flooring put over the floors in the whole storm cellar. It's anything but difficult to clean and looks like dim hardwood. It made the storm cellar resemble an entirely different space. The entire procedure for supplanting the floors on the two levels just took two days.Fixing up the basementLike I said above, we knew from the earliest starting point that we needed to lease our cellar. Truth be told, we were explicitly searching for houses with completed storm cellars that had their own passageway. The issue was, the ce llar was done, yet had not been all around thought about. Everything was truly smudged and there were some electrical dangers going on.Not just did we re-do the floors, however we likewise repainted the entirety of the dividers. We disposed of the dangerous electric oven, the larger than usual fridge, and moved the sink to a progressively proper area. We purchased the most charming scaled down refrigerator, alongside a microwave and electric pot. Dan and his sister introduced the backsplash in the kitchenette. We purchased a love seat and moved our old TV down there. We likewise had an entryway introduced in the storm cellar flight of stairs with the goal that the cellar was unmistakably and safely isolated from the remainder of our home. This wound up being entirely expensive in light of the fact that we had it done twice. We attempted a sliding entryway first, just to discover that it didn't obstruct any of the sound from ground floor. We at that point had it supplanted by a stron g center entryway that shut the space completely.More as of late, I saw that one of the dividers in the kitchenette had water harm and early indications of form. I was a little trying to claim ignorance about it from the start, however I in the end got a handyman to come investigate. It turns out, the floor of the shower was split and water was spilling into the floors and dividers encompassing it. Not great! So for that previous week or something like that, we've had a handyman taking a shot at totally annihilating and re-introducing the shower. It's costing us a chunk of change, yet it's better than long haul water and form harm. Furthermore, presently the shower will be done right. So not just has the entirety of this work helped us to really acquire cash back through Airbnb, yet now it is a significantly more wonderful space for us and for our loved ones when they visit.Opening up the living roomWhen we purchased the house, the family room was extremely thin. It wasn't generally conceivable to have a love seat confronting the TV on the off chance that you put it over the mantle. Besides, the entryway was a twofold entryway circumstance that stuck into the room, and we didn't imagine that was fundamental by any means. We employed temporary workers (more on them beneath) to thump down the portal and move the back mass of the lounge out by five feet. The room behind the lounge is presently my office, yet it had been a larger than average room. It's as yet a truly enormous room; too huge for my home office. Opening up the front room made it significantly more practical and roomy, without relinquishing the ease of use of the office. But, there were a few second thoughts ⦠Now, don't misunderstand me, I unquestionably have a few second thoughts. The contractual worker that we utilized for the heft of the work when we initially purchased the house certainly cheated us. Before the finish of that (extremely long) process, we felt exploited and silly. We paid an exc essive amount of to get new counters introduced, and they didn't check with us before they bought the counters and new sink. The sink is a lot littler than we needed, yet now, we would prefer not to spend more cash on this zone. We additionally had them construct and put in new hand railings by the steps, and they did an extremely hacky activity, while declining to give us a markdown that was in excess of two or three hundred dollars.I think the fundamental exercise we learned was that we attempted to do a lot immediately. We ought to have been steady in our redesigns. That would have set aside us cash and unquestionably a great deal of pressure. We were so eager to complete everything simultaneously, and we had (lost) trust in our temporary worker, so we proceeded. On the off chance that I needed to do it over, I would have opened up the front room, revamped the floors, and afterward delayed to survey our subsequent stages. We could have been considerably more recognizing in our de cisions. This article originally showed up on MaggieGermano.com.

Comp Time for Exempt and Nonexempt Employees
Comp Time for Exempt and Nonexempt Employees Comp Time for Exempt and Nonexempt Employees Compensatory time or, as it is ordinarily called, comp time will be time worked by a worker past their necessary number of work hours. The necessary number of work hours is regularly determined at 40 hours of the week for excluded representatives. Comp time is determined and recorded and representatives expect some compensation for the additional hours worked. The hours gathered are frequently paid to the representative as extra downtime from work, or comp time, which remunerates the worker for the additional hours worked more than 40 hours. Comp time is paid rather than pay or additional time pay to exclude workers. Comp time for nonexempt workers Nonexempt workers are most as often as possible secured by the guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for extra time pay thus they are ineligible for comp time. They can't fit the bill for comp time on the grounds that, under these guidelines, they should be paid extra time for consistently worked in overabundance of their typical 40 hour work week. Extra time pay starts when a worker works over 40 hours in a single work week. A few states necessitate that extra time pay begins when a worker has worked over 8 hours in a single day as opposed to more than 40 out of multi week. Know the guidelines that administer your area before you neglect to pay nonexempt workers appropriately. This is another occurrence in HR when knowing the work laws explicit to your state, nation or locale is significant by they way you address comp time versus additional time pay. Dont put your organization in the situation of taking care of wages. Open Sector Phenomenon Officially recorded and determined comp time is solely an open segment wonder. It happens most much of the time in an association spoke to work environment. Private area bosses, who pay compensation to exclude representatives for the achievement of an entire activity, anticipate that workers should give the measure of time important to achieve the associations work required for their activity. Private area businesses don't compute hours worked more than 40 by absolved representatives nor call these hours comp time. Nor do private division representatives hope to be paid comp time. Bosses dread that giving comp time will ingrain in salaried representatives an hourly attitude about work. This mentality is in direct clash with the businesses want that excluded workers embrace an attitude of objective accomplishment, work achievement, and doing whatever is important to finish the entire occupation. What Can Private Sector Employers Do When They Don't Calculate or Compensate Comp Time? Private area bosses who dont need to compute or pay comp time have different choices when they are attempting to compensate workers for going far in excess of what was required. At the point when a representatives outstanding task at hand is remarkable all the time, private area businesses take care of the issue of no comp time by: smoothing out and ceaselessly improving the job, assigning work objectives to another employee, adopting an adaptable work routine, orhiring an extra worker. Casually, numerous associations leave time off choices in the hand of chiefs who administer staff. On the off chance that a worker has an uncommonly dynamic itinerary, is dedicating many end of the week hours to work or work travel, or is incidentally working huge quantities of hours for another item discharge, a required deals objective, or the incorporation of another organization or office, to give some examples models, a director may distribute to the representative downtime from work. The director may state, Hey, John, youve truly been placing in the 12 PM hours. Why dont you take Friday and Monday off to invest some energy in your own or with your family. Or on the other hand, making an effort not to expand the representatives stress, Mary, take a decent day to take out work after the item dispatches. Your additional exertion merits a three day weekend. This schedule opening prizes perceives and says thank you to the worker for their boss exertion and achievement. (Extra types of recognition can incorporate gift vouchers.) One factor that supervisors need to comprehend is that they ought to never permit the downtime as indicated by the quantity of extra or unforeseen hours worked. The key is that the time isn't spread out on a scorecard and allowed by the additional hours worked. This is the thing that separates the downtime from comp time. The extra opportunity worked arrives with the idea of the activity and absolved representatives know the desires when they acknowledge the position. The time responsibility important to achieve the entire occupation is required. Changing Comp Time Expectations for Employees Moving From Public Sector to Private Sector Jobs Workers who join organizations from open part business make some troublesome memories making the acclimation to the idea of an entire salaried activity. They are accustomed to recording their additional hours more than 40 and they expect comp time appropriately. At the point when educated that comp time isn't recorded or remunerated in the private part, their first response is as a rule to make a fast outing to HR. Once there, they make the proposal that their manager begins to give compensatory time. Quite often baffled when dismissed and educated that comp time is never accessible in the private part, the representative learns the new lay of the land. Models: In an open division college, during the workplace move to bigger quarters, Mary, a salaried worker, worked 60 hours multi week to cause the transition to go easily. Consequently, the college gave her comp time in lieu of pay for the 20 additional hours she worked. Mary utilized the comp time to take a few vacation days from work. During the most recent couple of weeks before the dispatch of another private division item, the whole improvement group worked extended periods of time remaining into the night. Therefore, their chief planned a celebratory lunch which was provided food in to thank the representatives. He likewise advised the colleagues to take a vacation day some time in the following couple of weeks with early notification given to the chief. Comp time is likewise known as compensatory time or downtime in lieu.

4 Reasons Your Employee Referral Scheme is Failing
4 Reasons Your Employee Referral Scheme is Failing Innumerable investigations, including those from any semblance of Jobvite and CareerXRoads, show that the best wellspring of recruit is through verbal that is, a worker referral. Just as this, further examination from the Jobvite Survey reveals that informal employing can be quicker (55% quicker), less expensive and convey more excellent applicants with a superior social fit. Recruits coming from worker referrals additionally have higher maintenance levels than staff employed by means of customary channels with 46 percent remaining for longer than three years contrasted with only 14 percent from work sheets. Its nothing unexpected that a considerable lot of you might be scrambling on the business referrals temporary fad, however you may then be astounded to locate that despite the fact that you have set up your worker referrals plot, it essentially isnt working. By what means would this be able to be the situation? Indeed, underneath, I have point by point four of the most probable reasons that your worker referral plan may not be working: 1. Your workers are separated Have you checked your worker commitment levels recently? A study by Gallup proposes that 71 percent of American Works are not locked in or are effectively withdrawn â" and the issue with withdrew laborers is that they for the most part dont commend their boss, are not ready to invest any optional exertion, and are not willing to effectively advance your business. This all signifies a particular absence of inspiration to allude workers, which implies a representative referral conspire has minimal possibility of accomplishment in a separated situation. Along these lines, look at your own commitment levels and in the event that they are low, this might be the wellspring of your worker referral detachment and an issue that should be tended to before verbal recruiting will work for you. 2. Awful boss notoriety â" negative informal exchange Have you checked your boss notoriety? Much the same as any region of enlistment, verbal recruiting will be affected by your boss image. Competitors will be more averse to apply to associations with a frail boss brand and representatives might be less disposed to allude on the off chance that they discover they need to continually safeguard the notoriety of the business. You ought not think little of the hosing impacts that a terrible notoriety can have on informal exchange recruiting as a TARP review demonstrated that while individuals who have a decent involvement in an organization share this with only a couple of companions, the individuals who have an awful encounter share this with around 85 companions. There is probably going to be a solid relationship between's negative verbal exchange and decreased referrals. Things being what they are, whats your boss image picture like? On the off chance that its terrible it could be ruining your worker referrals conspire. 3. Representative referral conspire helpers are damaged It could simply be that your representative referral conspire is broken in some robotic manner, implying that the plans conduct drivers are neglecting to rouse staff to invest exertion or to allude. It may be the case that the motivators are excessively low, the plan is muddled and has not been conveyed, there is no prize for exertion (just achievement), and so forth. Evolution of Online Education from WWII to present day
Evolution of Online Education from WWII to present day No, this isnt one of the many MOOCs infographics you are about to view. This is simply about the evolution of online education. Its amazing to note that online education has been tried before, and maybe it was the lack of platform that they were delivered on, that it failed to pick up. College Degrees Search have put together this infographic on online education. It tells us that in 1940âs the Military successfully used TV education during WWII. Not sure what for. No technology would be completed without mentioning Henry Ford at least once, and hence the year of 1950, when Henry Ford began the long-term support for distance learning, starting with televised educational programs. Other key dates that surprised me are: 1960 â" University of Illinois developed PLATO (Programmed Logic for Automatic Teaching Operations) and used linked computer terminals for remote lectures 1984 â" CSILE (Computer-Supported Intentional Learning Environments) developed, allowing for collaborative learning online 1992 â" CAPA (Computer Assisted Personalized Approach) introduced, ushering in international online learning 1994 â" MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) hit the scene with Open Universityâs Virtual Summer School 1995 â"University of Illinois developed Mallard, a web-based course management system, allowing flexibility for graduate students to serve as online professors 1997 â" California Virtual University opened, offering 1,500 online courses | Blackboard founded, allowing for a more personalized online learning experience 2000 â"First online law school opened: Concord University School of Law 2004 â" Sakai initiated a Collaboration and Learning Environment (CLE), initiating a collaborative online learning environment 2010 â" Online education revolution began | Top colleges offered some free online courses 2011 â" Nearly 1/3 of all college students enrolled on at least one online class 2012 â" Harvard Open Courses opened to the public, offering online classes to mimic real Harvard classrooms Today â" Over 6 million students enrol on online classes | Twice as many students earn online degrees than traditional degrees 8

The Best Cities for Millennials to Settle Down
The Best Cities for Millennials to Settle Down Choosing a place to call home for the long-term is never easy, especially when you are just beginning to sink your teeth into your chosen career field. The cost of living in famous career outposts like the Big Apple or LA has continued to increase annually, becoming much less attractive to young professionals who are looking for a paycheck that does more than just âgetting byâ and rent money. Young professionals, like you, are on the hunt for a balanced lifestyle. Itâs time to look to other cities around the United States for the total package: exciting culture and entertainment, reasonable housing costs, favorable climate and job growth for the future. Sound impossible? Itâs not as far-fetched as you might think. 5.) Las Vegas, NV Surprisingly, Las Vegas isnât found on many of the recent lists of popular places for millennials to settle down. However, Sin City lands here at number five. Not only is it not as âsinfulâ as itâs usually portrayed in the media, but its housing market also ranks fourth in the country for first-time homebuyers. That same market has a whole list of options for millennials looking for their dream home to begin building their lifestyle: whether itâs a condo, independent home or community. You can search home listing databases specifically for the Las Vegas area tailored to help you find the dream home that meets all of your criteria for work and play. 4.) Portland, OR Portland, Oregon snags the number four spot on this list, with exceptional ratings for the cityâs culture and art scene, as well as food and entertainment. Having a hipster vibe, Portland appeals to millennials largely because of its non-traditional approach to business growth and development. 3.) Denver, CO With a reputation for its laid-back environment and a low unemployment rate, Denver also has great access to entertainment and a rich variety of food choices that wonât break the bank. Whether youâre a young millennial looking for adventures in downtown, or one in your early 30s looking to start a family, Denver ranks high for overall quality of life. 2.) Seattle, WA Number two on the list can also be found in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle ranks high on several different lists out there, mainly for its accessibility/walkability and vibrant nightlife. It has also been labeled as the place of the newest âtech boomâ in the country. This attracts young, talented professionals to the city for work â" and also creates the most affordable west-coast metropolis for a large millennial population. 1.) Austin, TX By far the most popular of all the cities found among millennial-living lists is this urban anomaly found in the heart of the Lone Star State. Austin, Texas is the capital of live music. It offers great professional opportunities, a better than average unemployment rate at around 3% and an alluring environment for young tech startups. It also has affordable rent rates and southern weather that makes winter a bit more bearable. Sometimes called the best millennial city in the U.S., it does make an appealing argument as the total-package city for young people. Donât see the city youâre looking for or one that appeals to you? Check out other lists like Vocativâs 35 best cities for under 35ers. Do some research, and youâll find there are many options to consider when it comes to settling down.

Creating A Home Office Any Woman Would Love
Creating A Home Office Any Woman Would Love One thing most women entrepreneurs want when it comes to their home office is a space that is designed with them in mind. You want your space to motivate you, to be easy to spend many hours in, and you want it to be comfortable (but not too comfortable). You want a space that is you. When it comes to creating that home office there are many decisions youâll need to make. Youâll want the right colors, the right decor, the right office furniture, and youâll want all the right tech. Here are some tips for designing your perfect home office. Design What kind of design do you want? This is one of the areas youâll find most of your inspiration and itâs a way to make the room about you. Whether you prefer an art deco look or you want something country-chic, or maybe you like a victorian look, the possibilities are endless, and itâs all your choice. You do want to stick with one design style, though. Integrating too many of the looks you love together can make the room look more distracting, and you want to have a room you can be focused and productive in. Furniture Furniture can play a huge role in an office. You want furniture that you are comfortable in, that promotes good posture, and that is lasting. Itâs good to consider ergonomic office furniture, like stand up desks and chairs that are made to promote healthy posture. You might even want one of those fitness balance balls in your office. These help with good posture and they let you sit comfortably while giving your core a good workout! Color Color makes a big difference in life in general, from how it affects your mood to how it makes a room feel. If you want an office that promotes relaxation, blue is a good color. If you want to focus, try a mild shade of yellow. Reds and purples are both power colors, but they can be fairly strong colors and would be best saved for an accent wall or for some of your additional decor in the room. Take a little time to learn the psychology of colors so that you can pick the right ones for your home office space. Accessories Donât forget the extras youâll need to make your home office complete. If you do some work late at night, or your room doesnât have much in the way of good light, you might want a desk lamp. Youâll need a filing cabinet if youâre working with paperwork at all. This is also the right time to make sure that you have all of the tech youâll need, from a computer that has the ability to get the job done to the right printer for your needs. . Tight on space? You may want to go paperless in your home office. Check this video for tips on going green!

Client Case Study Megan Foldenauer - When I Grow Up
Client Case Study Megan Foldenauer - When I Grow Up Um, do you know that Ive coached hundreds of women since I started offering dream career guidance in 2008? And that these women are freakin rock stars, leaving soul-sucking jobs and traveling the world and launching creative, grown-up businesses and simply doing work that fits their lifestyle goals? Well ya do now and youll hear their stories firsthand in my Client Case Studies series! Megan Foldenauer wrapped up Discover Your Dream Business almost exactly one year ago, and when it wrapped she started taking her artistic aspirations more seriously and YOU GUYS she started and completed a 365 paintings project that led to selling 115 paintings in 14 days (!!!!). I mean, lets just get right to her secrets and magic, shall we? We shall! Why did you decide to work with me? I decided to work with you after hearing Tiffany Han sing your praises on Raise Your Hand, Say Yes. I opened a tab with your website and read *all* of it, discovering that your approach, your vibe, and your personality really resonated with me. What were you doing work-wise when we started working together and what are you doing now? When we started working together, I was a frustrated artist with a full-time day job doing what Julia Cameron would call shadow art graphic design, some illustration, website management, that sort of thing. I was half-heartedly working on my own art projects, but the stress of my day job was flaring up my anxiety so badly that it was very hard to find any joy from it. I could only see that job as SUBTRACTING from my true work. Nowadays, Im still at that job but Ive been able to re-frame it as a means to an end (i.e., it provides me with money and benefits for my family) that SUPPORTS my other work rather than subtracting from it. That said, Im still looking to better balance things, so, I have a proposed a reduction in my time commitment since Ive seen a growth in my fine art sales and my community is growing. Its very important to me that I honor my lifes purpose but that doesnt have to be a screw you! as I quit this job in a huff it can be more nuanced and still feel good. What was your biggest takeaway from our work together? My biggest take away was to trust myself and honor my gifts. To BELIEVE that they are real and valid and worth something. Think of someone who is currently in the shoes you wore when we first started working together. What advice do you have for her? My advice is to take a step. Just a step. It doesnt have to be a momentous decision or an earth-shifting declaration it can be quiet and still just as powerful. Through my work with Michelle, it has become crystal clear that big change comes from small moments. As a person whose anxiety flares up when I get overwhelmed with too many/opaque* decisions in front of me (which manifests as shutting down and deciding everything is pointless) this has been HUGE. *opaque = not clear Is there anything thats been a game-changer for you when it comes to your business that you can share? Wed love a good resource or a mindset/productivity tip! Yes! Let go of shame and dissect your weaknesses; find ways to trick yourself to overcome them. Some examples: 1) I have so many ideas but I forget everything! Solution: I text myself, I email myself, I set alarms on my phone (one just went off, actually! ha!), I record thoughts into my phone, I tell a friend and ask them to remind me. 2) Ive drug my feet on this project, I MUST work on it (whether thats creation or just emailing someone). Solution: Do it first. Think of NOTHING ELSE. Do not open FB, do not pass go. One foot in front of the other until you can implement it (at a desk, in front of gmail, whatever) and just. do. it. Even something small will lift that guilt and set you free. 3) Why should I bother creating this? SO many people have done this (and really well!). Solution: No one is me. No one is my story. (I cannot tell you how much that mindset shift has save me from stagnation in my work!) Whats on the horizon for your business? Wed love to hear about any upcoming offerings or goals! Oh my gosh, youve hit me at a serious moment of shift in my business! I just finished my 365 painting project (the first attempt thats ever stuck, btw) and the response has been MIND-BLOWING. (You can see the whole thing here.) I have SOLD 115 PAINTINGS in less than two weeks thats LIKE 8K in sales. (It makes my skin tingle to even type that! AH!!!!) I recently self-published the series as a lovely picture book on Blurb and I have posters and the like up on society6 too. Finally, I had a one-night gallery show of the whole thing in August here in Michigan. Im hoping to capitalize on all of this momentum and keep it going there will DEFINITELY be more art, I know that! Id love to start talking to people about being a creative person, but the format of how Ill deliver that is not yet determined. Anyway, Ill announce anything and everything on IG (@meganfoldenauercreative) and FB (/meganlovestodraw) for sure! Where can we find you and your work? Website: meganlovestodraw.com Are *you* ready to Discover Your Dream Business and potentially make $8k in 14 days like Megan? Take a deep breath and click here you can get started within the hour (or sooner)!
